Opinions are fun. My friends tell me I am someone with lots of opinions and that's fine since I don't get mad at others when they disagree with me. I tend to write in the form of short essays most of the time, but contributions do not need to be in this same format or size. Some of the content here will date itself pretty quickly, other content may be virtually timeless, this is for the reader to judge.

No Protestants on the Supreme Court

It has finally happened; we are looking at the real possibility of a Supreme Court without any Protestant justices. Woops, does it sound like I revel in the possibility, absolutely not. What intrigues me is the lack of concern or interest in this matter. Why banks won't help homeowners

The investment banking sector is in the toilet. There are millions of homeowners who are underwater on their home loans. The federal government has pushed a program out to banks for restructuring home loans. Regulating banks
There has been a lot of news about financial regulation coming from congress in the wake of the deepest recession in nearly seventy years. There is no doubt in my mind that the short-sighted motive for profit over financial responsibility led these banks to make irresponsible choices. A couple of weeks ago having had a late night beer, cheeseburger and fries I came home and could not get right to sleep, heartburn seems to plague me much more now than 20 years ago.
